PROJECT OVERVIEW
Completed in early 2024, the Rak 1 and Rak 2 Solar projects in Western New York highlight Ironwood Power Services’ commitment to supporting the growth of renewable energy infrastructure. Serving as a subcontractor, our Substation and Civil Services division played a key role in preparing and developing the sites to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible construction of these utility-scale solar fields.
Our scope of work included comprehensive site preparation services such as tree clearing and grubbing, as well as the installation, removal, and full restoration of an equipment staging area. The team also performed critical site work including cuts and fills, grading, and storm drainage installation, along with the construction of access roads and installation of silt fencing to support erosion and sediment control. Through precise execution and attention to detail, the project was delivered on schedule, contributing to the successful deployment of clean energy in the region.
