PROJECT OVERVIEW

Hurricane Ian, a powerful Category 4 storm that made landfall in Florida in September 2022, brought devastating winds, historic rainfall, and widespread flooding across the state, leaving millions without power and causing extensive damage to infrastructure and communities. In Highlands County, where our team was deployed, the storm’s impact was significant—floodwaters limited access to roadways, agricultural losses were substantial, and damage was reported across both rural and developed areas.

As a subcontractor supporting large-scale recovery operations, Ironwood Power Services’ Storm Disaster Recovery Division mobilized rapidly, working in close coordination with county officials and debris monitoring teams. Our response effort began within hours of landfall and extended well into 2023, focusing on restoring access, removing storm debris, and supporting the safe and efficient recovery of affected communities. Through disciplined execution and collaboration, our team played a vital role in helping Highlands County navigate the immediate aftermath of one of the most impactful storms in Florida’s history.
